Profile
A great love of Cornwall began during childhood holidays in the 1960’s. The atmospheric rugged coastline with its idylic golden beaches would continue to inspire Philip’s imagination and in 1983 the graphic designer from Wirral, near Liverpool had the opportunity to move to Cornwall to live.
He began to paint seascapes and landscapes, using photography as a ‘sketchbook’. Soon however, the creative process within photography itself would take over and Philip has gone on to produce images which have been described as ‘magical and evocative”.
The artist has held numerous exhibitions and holds work with various image libraries. He has also written articles for photographic magazines. His work has been published worldwide, including two of his images being used for international bestsellers.
